Seniors & students who have not re-enrolled for next year need to turn in their MacBook & charger to the Main Office no later than after their final exam. Transcripts will not be released until it is turned in! If you have decorated the MacBook in any way, that will need to be undone. Stickers need to be removed and any adhesive residue removed. Both the MacBook and charger (block and cable) need to be turned in at the same time - please do not bring one without the other unless you have lost your charger and need to pay for a replacement. Since the school provided an official Apple power adapter and cable, if you are buying a replacement, it must be an official Apple product: 30W USB-C Power Adapter - $39 Link to Purchase USB-C Charge Cable (2 m) - $29 Link to Purchase If you need to pay the school the replacement cost at the prices above, you can do so either by cash, check, Venmo @JPIICatholic, or by credit card with Mrs. Ershadi. |

Earlier this month, the Morehead-Cain Foundation at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill announced scholarship recipients for the Class of 2028. The list includes senior Michelle Saucedo-Trinidad, the first JPII student to be awarded the prestigious scholarship which looks for leaders with the ability to influence, energize, and inspire others to make an impact. In addition to a fully-funded undergraduate scholarship, Michelle has access to four fully-funded summer enrichment opportunities with an opportunity to travel the world. “I am going to spend 3 weeks in Patagonia which I am currently planning,” Michelle said. “I also intend to visit a to-be-determined U.S. city for a couple of weeks with a small group of fellow Morehead-Cains to work hand-in-hand with the local government to cultivate real change. For the last two summers, I will leverage the connections within the Morehead-Cain Foundation to gain professional experience through international internships.” Michelle plans to double major in political science and economics with a minor in public policy on the pre-law track. She looks forward to studying abroad in Europe during her sophomore year and hopes to one day open her own law firm. Congratulations Michelle! |

HELP! WE HAVE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WHO NEED A HOST FAMILY FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR! Hosting an international student is not only a great way to expand your knowledge of another culture but provides a wonderful opportunity for the student to experience yours. Along the way, they will make new friends and improve their use of the English language. Host families receive a stipend in exchange for providing a loving environment, a room to live in, meals, and transportation to school. The students will cover most of their expenses, including school tuition, health insurance, phone plan, etc, while in the USA. We are looking for 5-10 families who would be willing to host an international student for the 2024-2025 school year. Families who receive financial aid can fulfill their service-to-school hours by hosting an international student. If you are interested in hosting a student, please email Doug Smith. |
