Our JPII community is blessed with amazing moms and grandmothers...we hope you have had a wonderful day of celebrating YOU! |
As we bring the school year to a close, the celebrations to honor the Class of 2023 begin! Baccalaureate Mass will take place at St. Gabriel Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 24 at 6:00 p.m. and Commencement will be held on Friday, May 26 at 7:00 p.m. Weather permitting, Commencement will take place at the turf field and will be open to the JPII community; otherwise, it will take place in the gym and will be a ticketed event. Our 54 graduates have left their mark on JPII with many accomplishments - some individual and numerous others that were the result of coming together to make this school even better than it was when they arrived. We wish them an abundance of future success wherever God's plan takes them next. Below are the schools they collectively earned acceptances to attend: |

"A NOTE OF THANKS" FROM MRS. K As the first "season" of pottery comes to an end, I felt it's about time to send out some thanks: - To JPII, for your support of the arts and recognizing the value of a complete education. The pottery studio you equipped is phenomenal. I am honored to set this ship to sail.
- To Mrs. Stanley, for taking a chance on me. This is the most amazing time of my life. I hope to always do you proud.
- To Officer Barrett, yes, Officer Barrett who checks on us daily and loves our kids great big. You sir have been the most amazing and delightful support. You are going to make pottery. The gauntlet is dropped.
- To my mudbugs, thanks for giving my class a spin. Yep, me being corny. You kiddos amazed me. All of you stepped out of your comfort zone and tried and accomplished. Thank you for trusting me to get you to a finish line on projects. Seniors, keep in touch. I send care packages to college kids. I will miss you all so very much. Returning mudbugs, let's have great adventures next year. New mudbugs, I can't wait to meet you and see what we can create.
With Kindness... and always with kindness, Mrs. K |

PREPARING TO RETURN YOUR MACBOOK All students (including seniors) will need to turn in their MacBooks on Wednesday, May 24 at 12:00 p.m. or Thursday, May 25 at 10:15 a.m. upstairs in the gym. Students who are taking summer classes through PCC and would like to keep their MacBooks should notify Mr. Doug via emailno later than Friday, May 19. If you have decorated the MacBook in any way, that will need to be undone. Stickers need to be removed and any adhesive residue removed. While you cannot return it in new condition like it was given to you, please do your best to return it in as close to like-new condition as possible for the next student who will use it. Both the MacBook and charger (block and cable) need to be turned in at the same time - please do not bring one without the other unless you have lost your charger and need to pay for a replacement. Since the school provided an official Apple power adapter and cable, if you are buying a replacement, it must be official Apple products: 30W USB-C Power Adapter - $39 USB-C Charge Cable (2 m) - $19 If you need to pay the school the replacement cost at the prices above, you can do so either by cash, check, Venmo @JPIICatholic, or by credit card with Mrs. Ershadi. |

On Friday, senior Lizzie Doban unveiled her first large-scale outdoor sculpture - something she describes as βwhimsical and colorful.β After some sketching, she committed to the idea of a key designed as a flower and spent this semester working every day toward her goal. Now that it is complete, it will be entered into competitions this summer. Congratulations Lizzie on bringing this piece to completion and best of luck in the competitions! |
