St. Teresa of Calcutta, who was born in Albania in 1910, was known for caring for those who society had forgotten in the slums of Calcutta. She is also the founder of the Missionaries of Charity. REMOTE LEARNING SCHEDULE FOR JAN. 25-29

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

“Normal” virtual instruction following regular bell schedule.

Wednesday

Virtual office hours/recitation. Teachers will be available for at least 2 hours. Students will get sign up information from individual teachers. Students with C- or below are required to attend.

Friday

Normal instruction: potentially follow Mass day schedule. TBD; information forthcoming.

All in-person extracurricular activities are canceled or postponed. That is all club activities, after school meetings, athletics (practice, workouts, games) are canceled or postponed for at least the next week.

Please send photos of yourselves attending classes via Google Meet to Ms. Bradsher for the remote learning section of the yearbook. Also, if you have not had your photo taken for the yearbook, please email Mrs. Warren.

DONATION DRIVE

NC Packs 4 Patriots is an organization that provides care packages to our men and women serving overseas. This week (Jan. 25-29), we are collecting items to include in snack bags for NC Packs 4 Patriots. Please donate individually wrapped compact sweet or salty snacks (Rice Krispie Treats, trail mix, nuts, granola bars, crackers, fruit snacks, etc.), individual powder drink mixes, wrapped candies, or packs of gum. No chocolate or bags of chips. Any compact snack will do! Thank you for your donations. Students can bring them into school and collect them in their pods.

CONCUSSION TESTING

If you are playing a spring sport but have not yet had your concussion baseline test for this year, please plan to attend the testing session on Wednesday, February 3 immediately after school in room 105.

VIRTUAL DRIVERS ED

Virtual drivers ed classes through Carolina Road Driving will start on Saturday, February 6. Classes are held on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and students must attend every virtual class. The cost is $350; to register, complete the registration form no later than Friday, January 29 and submit payment to the school office by Monday, February 1. Questions? Contact Mrs. Warren.

SAINTS SWIMMING

The swim team won their meet against Southside Christian School on Friday by a score of 232-154. Several swimmers posted best times, and Nick Garza made the cut time in the 200 freestyle to qualify for the state championship meet on February 10.

WINTER SPORTS PHOTOS

Team and individual photos for winter sports will be taken Tuesday, February 2 in the gym. Orders can be placed online at strawbridge.net using the code FM352661 when you click on the red "Order Pictures and Yearbooks" button. Order forms are also available in the main office. Payment must be made at the time of pictures or online. If you are getting an individual picture, please be sure to make the photographer aware and have your order form or payment confirmation with you.
