MS. THOMSEN'S WEEKLY STUDY TIPS Study Tip #5 : Reading: going to the Gym for Your Brain In the English Department, you have at least six novels to read each year, sometimes more. When I was young, I loved Harriet the Spy and The Lord of the Rings because those characters made me feel less alone in the world, but I had no idea how important reading was to my brain! This video provides research on how reading changes our brains. If you want to stop by and chat about this topic, you’ll find me at JPII every afternoon: 6th period in S105 and 7th period and 2:30-3:30 in S104. This movie includes a Works Cited page, so you can find the videos and research. (MLA formatted, of course!) |
Each week, I will post a new video (3-5 minutes). You can also join my "JPII Weekly Study Tips" Google Classroom to download the materials. The class code is vsffbqf. |
