THIS WEEK'S VIRTUE

P R U D E N C E

This week's virtue is PRUDENCE which is one of the four cardinal virtues. Pope John Paul II said, "The prudent man, who strives for everything that is really good, endeavors to measure everything, every situation, and his whole activity according to the yardstick of moral good. So a prudent man is not one who—as is often meant—is able to wangle things in life and draw the greatest profit from it, but one who is able to construct his whole life according to the voice of upright conscience and according to the requirements of sound morality."

Thank you again to all of the families who greeted the faculty and staff on Thursday night with dinner and homemade goodies! Seeing all of you makes us miss being together at school even more! VIRTUAL TOUR

Since our campus is closed, hosting in-person tours is not possible. This week we unveiled our virtual tour for families who would like to see what we have to offer. If you know a prospective family, please encourage them to visit our Virtual Admissions Center and watch our virtual tour.

The "Ask a JPII Parent" page went live this week. Again, a BIG THANK YOU to all of the parents who responded to our request for volunteers! We could still benefit from parents who live outside of Greenville and more parents of daughters. If you would like to participate, please email Mr. Smith.

ALUMNI UPDATE

Congratulations to Tristen Boykin '18 who finished his spring semester at NC State University not only first in his academic program, but FIRST among ALL SOPHOMORES! His course load was Anatomy 2, Organic Chemistry, Genetics, Statistics, and two labs!

Several of our student-athletes have taken advantage of the online workouts with Youngs Physical Therapy. Last week a surprise guest joined in on one of them: eastern North Carolina native, former ECU wide receiver, and current wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons Justin Hardy!

GAME PLAN PARTNERSHIP

We are excited to be the first high school to partner with Game Plan! Through Game Plan our student-athletes will have the ability to access a full curriculum on pressing topics in youth athlete development such as personal development, healthy relationships with peers and authority figures, moving on to the next level in sports, social media, and more. Game Plan’s mobile app will allow athletes and parents to access these courses at any time and on any device.
