| SAINT OF THE WEEK Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton was the first canonized Saint to have been born in the United States. After the death of her husband, she converted to Catholicism and founded an order of teaching Sisters in Emmitsburg, MD. There they founded the first free Catholic school in America. | FALL PLAY THIS THURSDAY! Come join us (virtually) for the fall play! On Thursday, November 19, JPII students will present Ten and Two live for a small audience of parents and live streamed for the rest of the JPII community! The play will begin at 7:00 p.m. and last about 45 minutes. We will send an app notification when the live stream starts and share the link on social media. |

FRIDAY IS THE LAST DAY TO PURCHASE PARKER'S BARBECUE TICKETS! As of right now, we have only sold 265 tickets! If every family sells their 10 tickets, our school earns nearly $5,000! These tickets that can be redeemed November 27-December 11 at any of the 3 Parker's locations in Greenville for a small combination pork barbecue and chicken (leg or thigh) plate with slaw, boiled potatoes, green beans, hush puppies, and corn sticks (does not include beverage). Each ticket is $9 and can be purchased online or by using this paper form that can be turned in with payment to the main office. |

FOOTBALL ADVANCES TO THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! With Saturday's 41-12 win over Fayetteville Christian, football will play for the state championship on Saturday either at home against Parrott Academy or on the road against St. David's. DONATION DRIVE Wednesday is the last day to contribute to participate in our school-wide donation drive for Daughters of Worth, a local nonprofit that educates, equips, and empowers girls of all ages to become strong women of influence in their communities. JEANS DAY FUNDRAISER Overall SGA is holding a Jeans and Spirit Wear Day fundraiser on Monday, November 23 to help offset expenses incurred by Senior Class SGA for student body activities. Students who pay $2 can wear jeans (no holes, no rips, NO EXCEPTIONS!) with your uniform shirt on the Monday before Thanksgiving. To participate, pay the $2 online between now and THIS FRIDAY, November 20. |

SWIM MEET ON SATURDAY Swimming has its first meet of the season on Saturday, November 21 against Christ Covenant at Aquaventure. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, no spectators are allowed. |

JPII ANNUAL FUND Our goal this year is to raise $50,000 and we need everyone's participation to help us grow our mission of educating the whole student: mind, body, and spirit. You can designate your donation for academics, the school's greatest needs, or an area of your choice. - $25 buys art and music supplies for one student
- $75 pays for a driver to transport a team to an away game
- $50 covers certain expenses related to our annual retreat & days of service
- $100 can help purchase supplies used each year by our science labs
- $300 pays for an iPad
- $500 covers the cost of officials for one football game
- $500 also covers the cost of purchasing the rights to a drama performance
