| May Crowning is a ritual celebrated in the month of May where an image or statue of Mary is crowned with a wreath of flowers and honored as the Queen of Heaven and the Mother of God. As part of Mass this Friday, students are encouraged to bring flowers for the crowning of Mary. |

ACADEMIC AWARDS CEREMONY The 2021-2022 Awards Day Ceremony will take place next Wednesday, May 18 at 9:00 a.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Parents of students being honored will be notified via email. |
| | Final payments for the Busch Gardens Physics Trip are due! The Busch Gardens Physics Field Trip is this Friday, May 13. The bus will leave campus at 6:30 a.m and arrive back at the school around 6:00 p.m. The dress code for the day is casual, but make sure you are dressed modestly. No super short shorts, etc. It is recommended that you wear closed-toed shoes that are comfortable as there will be a lot of walking. Lunch is with your group, please bring money for lunch. Students may also bring snacks for the bus ride. |

To celebrate the last day of classes, Performing Arts and Sophomore SGA are co-hosting an Improv & Karaoke Night on Thursday, May 19: - Improv: 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Admission will be a $5 donation to support the cause in Ukraine. Drinks and snacks will be provided. For any student participating in Improv Night, there will be practice every day starting tomorrow (Monday) right after school until 3:45 in the PAC. Please plan on attending if you are able. |

The last Spirit Night of the school year will be on Wednesday, May 18 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Chipotle on Greenville Boulevard. This week's AP exams: Calculus Monday, May 9 at 8:00 a.m. Spanish Wednesday, May 11 at 8:00 a.m. Physics Thursday, May 12 at 12:00 noon Students are to report to the gym on the day/time of their test(s). For the 8:00 a.m. tests, students are to arrive no later than 7:45 a.m.; for tests at 12:00 noon, students are to arrive no later than 11:45 a.m. Personal belongings are not allowed in the testing room, including electronics and food/drink. Pencils/pens will be provided but students are responsible for bringing a calculator (if appropriate). A reminder that there is a $95 AP Exam fee for each course; those fees will be billed to Smart Tuition accounts in May. |

| MUSIC LESSONS Would you like to learn an instrument? Do you have an instrument sitting around your house but haven't picked it up since elementary school? Are you interested in participating in the pep band in the winter, but don't currently play an instrument? Ms. Goodman offers instrumental and voice lessons over the summer at the school, including piano. Contact her for rates and scheduling details. You must provide your own instrument (but Ms. Goodman can help you acquire one if needed!) |
