This Friday we will honor the service and sacrifices of our veterans during our annual Veterans Day program. We invite all parents, grandparents, and other members of the Saints family who served our country to join us; the program will begin at 11:20 a.m. This year’s program will be facilitated by Mr. Taylor Harris, USMC, from our social studies department. He is inviting our extended Saints family to be a part of the program; here’s how: - For veterans, record a video sharing what the impact is for you when someone says “Thank you for your service.” Feel free to invite grandparents and extended family members to record and submit a video.
- For non-veterans, record a video sharing what it means to you when you thank a veteran on Veterans Day…or any day. Why do you tell them thank you?
These do not need to be long, produced videos - cell phone videos (even selfies) that show your genuine, heartfelt response to the questions are what we are looking for. It is best to record videos horizontally/landscape and not vertically/portrait. We will start to put the video responses together on Wednesday, Nov. 6th so if you would like to participate, please submit your video by the end of the day on Tuesday, Nov. 5th. |
