REMOTE LEARNERS: ARE YOU SWITCHING TO IN-PERSON LEARNING ON SEPT. 21?

A reminder that if a student is going to switch from remote to in-person learning on September 21, you need to notify the school by tomorrow (Monday) by using this form. Also, your student will need to start completing the 14-Day Health Screen on Monday, September 7. They will need to bring this completed form with them on the 21st in order to enter the building.

TEXT AMENDMENT PETITION
On Wednesday, you should have received a request to sign a petition that allows small, private educational institutions the ability to share their facilities with outside organizations. This benefits the citizens of the City of Greenville because organizations need a place to practice and hold events. The text amendment's restrictions protect adjacent neighborhoods from noise and light while fulfilling a city-wide need.

There are more than 200 signatures on a petition AGAINST the text amendment…in just a few days we have 184 signatures in FAVOR of it. We’d love to have at least 500 but we only have a few days left! Students can sign the petition!

SAINTS FOOTBALL KICKS OFF SEPTEMBER 25

The updated NCISAA 8-man football schedule for this fall was released on Friday. The Saints kick off the season at home against Cary Christian on Sept. 25. NCISAA rules currently do not allow spectators however all JPII home games will be streamed live on jp2sports.com. Stay tuned for advertising opportunities!

Schedules for the other fall sports will be released soon.

VOLUNTEER AT FOOTBALL GAMES

As Mr. C shared in his "Return2JP2Athletics" email last week, student volunteers will get priority assignment for stats/team management, chain gang, video production, etc. Coach Murphy is looking for football game management student volunteers for our 3 home games on Sept. 25, Oct. 16, and Oct. 23. Volunteers are required to commit to all three games. If you are interested in working the chains or operating the clock, email Coach Murphy. He is also looking for two student managers who will need to commit to attending all practices and games (home and away). Again, if you are interested email Coach Murphy.

VOLUNTEER TO HELP LIVE STREAM GAMES

Mr. Smith is looking for student volunteers to help live stream fall sporting events. If you are interested, please email him.

SAFE ENVIRONMENT TRAINING

If you wish to volunteer at the school and have not completed Safe Environment Training, initial or renewal training webinars will be held on the following dates:

September 22 (English)
September 23 (Spanish)
October 21 (English)
October 28 (Spanish)

If your current training expires between now and the end of the year, you are encouraged to participate in one of these webinars.

TEEN COURT

The Pitt County Teen Court program teaches students how to run a court for trials of their peers. Students serve as jurors, clerks, bailiffs, or attorneys in real court cases.

High school sophomores are invited to begin preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Peter Catholic Church.
