ALL-SCHOOL RETREAT ON FRIDAY

Our annual all-school retreat will be held at The Refuge in Ayden, NC this Friday. This is a required day of school, as well as a faith-filled, fun-filled day for all.

Transportation: Students who drive can drive and park at the Retreat site. Students who do not drive will need to be dropped off at the retreat site in Ayden by 8:15 and picked up at 3:30. Students from New Bern, Washington, and Chocowinity who ride the bus to school will ride the bus as normal directly to the retreat. If you would like your student to carpool to or from the retreat site they may do so, but please fill out the bottom section of the permission slip.

Dress Code: Students may be out of uniform, but should wear appropriate clothing for school. Dress for active outdoor activities. Wear sneakers, no sandals, no Crocs. Bring an extra change of clothes

What to Bring: Extra change of clothes, water bottle, any medication needed for the day.

Lunch: Lunch will be provided. If you have dietary restrictions, please bring your lunch.

Students must have a completed permission slip to attend the retreat. Please complete and return the permission slip via email or with your student by Wednesday, May 5. Phone permission will not be accepted.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BASEBALL AND WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAMS FOR MAKING THE NCISAA 2A STATE PLAYOFFS! Women's soccer will play at Epiphany on Tuesday and baseball will HOST Friendship Christian on Tuesday. Game times are TBA. Come out and support the baseball team in their first-ever playoff game!

Teen Leadership Institute participants Max Dooley, Dillon Gregory, and Destini Hunt are holding a donation drive for the local Humane Society starting on Monday and running through May 11. Items needed include animal toys (hard and soft toys), kitten formula, dog food, cat food, dog and cat shampoo, and grooming items.

Come travel with us! We have opened up a few more spots for our summer 2022 trip to the Global Leadership Summit in Germany followed by a trip to Switzerland. The risk-free enrollment period has been extended to May 1st for any family that is interested! Check out our tour website for all the details! Feel free to contact Ms. Goodman with any questions.

VARSITY LETTER JACKETS
Order forms for varsity letter jackets have arrived! Our Jostens rep is scheduled to be at the school THIS TUESDAY, May 4th at 3:00 p.m. in the gym to meet with students and parents to take orders. He will have sample jackets to make sure you order the correct size (they will not be samples of our jacket and this photo is a similar representation of the color scheme for our jacket).

COSTUME ITEMS NEEDED FOR THE SPRING PLAY
We are in need of some color-specific costume items for the spring play on May 20 (mark your calendars!). If you have any of the following items (solid colors only) we could borrow from you, please bring them into the main office and direct them to Ms. Goodman (tag them with your name if you'd like them returned!).

Pink accessories (for a female - scarf, hat, necklace, etc)
Black accessories (for a male - scarf, hat, etc.)
Beige accessories
Purple fancier costume pieces (for a female - jacket, scarf, hat, necklace, etc.)
Clipboards (3)
Green accessories (for a female)
Blue accessories (for a female)
Red accessories (for a female)
Orange top (for a small female)
Yellow accessories (female)
Grey accessories (female)

ALSO NEEDED FOR THE SPRING PLAY...

If anyone (students or parents) would be interested in donating some time and handyman skills, the theater department is in need of some set cubes! Contact Ms. Goodman if you are interested, and she can set you up with the build plans and materials list for putting these together (dimensions of wood, etc.).
