A special WELCOME! to our newly-enrolled family members of students who will start in August! You have been added to this newsletter which goes out each Sunday during the school year.

Tickets for this year's spring production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" are now on sale! Don't miss one of the four shows:

Advance tickets ($15) will be available until Wednesday, April 26. Tickets at the door will be $20. Children 10 and under and JPII students, faculty, and staff are free.

PURCHASE PLAY TICKETS

The Performing Arts Department will also host the first-ever Spring Variety Program on Thursday, April 20! Like the annual Christmas Variety Show, the program will feature the performing arts classes: students in choir, instrumental music, and theater will showcase what they've been working on all semester. The cast of "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" might even make an appearance before their show opens the following week! The program will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will last no longer than an hour; admission is free!

This year's junior/senior prom is May 18 from 8:00-11:00 p.m. at Stokes Family Farm. Tickets are $30 each and are now on sale.

Join us for a night of adults-only fun at the tables on Saturday, May 13 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. in the gym. We will have seven Blackjack tables, two Roulette tables, and a Craps table that will be open from 6:00-9:30 p.m.; then casino chips can be used to purchase raffle tickets for fantastic items from local businesses. Auction items will also be available.

AP EXAMS & FEES

AP course fees will be assessed to SchoolAdmin accounts in May - $95 per course per student. Below is the schedule of AP exams:

May 1 at 12:00 noon: Chemistry
May 2 at 12:00 noon: Psychology
May 3 at 8:00 a.m.: English Literature & Composition
May 4 at 8:00 a.m.: Human Geography
May 4 at 12:00 noon: Statistics
May 5 at 8:00 a.m.: U.S. History
May 8 at 8:00 a.m.: Calculus AB
May 10 at 8:00 a.m.: Spanish Language & Culture
May 10 at 12:00 noon: Biology
May 11 at 12:00 noon: Physics

The next Driver's Ed class will be May 1-12 for students who will be 14-and-a-half as of May 1. The classes will be held Monday-Friday from 2:45-5:45 p.m. at the school. Students cannot miss any of the days or they will not receive credit for the class and will not receive a refund. Cost is $62.

DRIVER'S ED REGISTRATION

CONSIDERING HOSTING AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT?

We are excited to have JPII parent Jenn Davies now working with Global Horizons, our partner for international students! Host families are responsible for providing a loving environment and transportation to school. The students will cover all their expenses, including school tuition, health insurance, phone plan, etc, while in the USA.

DONATION REQUEST: Wire Hangers - if you have some wire hangers you are willing to donate, please drop them off at the main office for Mr. Smith. Thank you!

The Carolina Pregnancy Center presents the "Born 2 Run" family-friendly 5K on Saturday, May 6. The timed 5K ($28) starts at 8:30 a.m. and the fun run 5K ($23) starts at 9:00 a.m. Participants who register before April 17 will receive a T-shirt, swag bag, and a token of love to give to the mom in their life. An anonymous donor is offering to pay the registration fee for students who would like to participate; see Dr. Infinito for details.

Driving Out Homelessness golf tournament

Drive Out Homelessness at the Community Crossroads Center golf tournament on Tuesday, May 2 at 8:30 a.m. at Ironwood Golf and Country Club. For more information on sponsorship opportunities and how to register, visit the Community Crossroads Center website.

The Ulster Project of Greenville is searching for host teens and families for teens from Northern Ireland from June 28-July 21. The host and visiting teens have a schedule of fun, free activities, service projects, church services, trips, and times of discoveries that will keep them busy. Hosts are asked to provide a loving home with either a private room or a shared bedroom with your teen and to drop your teens off and pick them up from activities. Interested families should email greenvilleulster@gmail.com.

JUNIORS & JUNIOR PARENTS: Below are the vaccine requirements for starting 12th grade. In order for a senior to receive their 2023-2024 class schedule, Ms. Blanton needs to have an updated immunization record that reflects these vaccinations.
