The ECU Miller School of Entrepreneurship is hosting a week-long entrepreneurial program to learn the basics of entrepreneurship and how to launch a business idea. Rising 9th-12th graders can take advantage of this FREE opportunity (with lunch provided!) July 21st-25th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. The Monday-Friday camp will conclude with student presentations during the Friday Showcase. This year, the winning team will receive a cash prize at the final-day Trade Show Event and all participants will be able to apply for an ECU-based scholarship should they choose to pursue a degree at ECU. The camp is completely free, but spots are limited to only 30 students. The deadline to apply is June 11th!

DRIVER'S ED

Students who will be 14-and-a-half as of Monday, May 5th and need to take driver's ed are eligible to participate in the class that will be held at the school May 5th-16th. The class will be held Monday-Friday from 2:45-5:45 p.m. Students cannot miss any of the days or they will not get credit and do not receive a refund. Cost is $60 payable to JPII. From time to time we are asked how to order a varsity letter jacket. These are ordered through Jostens - the order form is linked below and can be found on the STORE page on our website.

DONATE TO THE ANNUAL FUND

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund is hosting a summer program for current 11th graders (class of 2026) who are interested in attending an HBCU after graduation. SOAR is a week-long residential program over the summer to introduce students to college and then support them throughout their college journey during their senior year.

LEARN MORE ABOUT SOAR

The Ulster Project of Greenville is looking for families with teens ages 14-16 to host a northern Irish teen for 3 weeks this summer. Both teens, visiting and hosting, will have a schedule of fun activities, service projects, day trips, trips to Washington D.C. and Busch Gardens, attending church services, time of discoveries, and more. Visiting teens can share a bedroom with the host teen. Most days will be dropping off in the morning and picking up in the evening. Help with drop off and pick up is available. The project is free of charge and provides service hours. Families can express interest via email or by calling Silvia Frizzelle at 252-258-5963.

Coach Jeff Lebo’s 16th Annual Summer Basketball Camp in Greenville is set for June 23-26 for boys and girls ages 5-13. Expect lots of fun, fundamentals, and friendship throughout each session.
