Las Posadas celebrates the upcoming birth of Jesus with traditional Hispanic food, singing Christmas songs in Spanish, and more. All are invited to participate on Friday, December 16 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. The event begins at the gym with a procession over to the school that ends in the dining hall.

Spring fees are due by 5:00 p.m. this Friday, December 16 for students taking spring classes with Pitt Community College. If fees are not paid before the deadline, your schedule will be dropped.

MIDTERM EXAM SCHEDULE

Midterm exams will be held December 12-15. There are two exam periods Monday-Wednesday (8:10-10:10 and 10:30-12:30) and one exam period on Thursday. Students will need to arrive by 8:00 a.m. for morning assembly each day and be picked up at 12:30 p.m. on Monday-Wednesday and at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday.

On Saturday, students in our newly-formed FBLA chapter participated in their first-ever FBLA Regional Conference!

SERVICE TO SCHOOL OPPORTUNITY

Those who need to fulfill service to school hours can do so by helping to live stream basketball games on the following days:

GENERAL SCHOOL SUPPLIES

9th & 10th Grade Families:A reminder that at the beginning of the year we asked 11th & 12th grade families to provide general school supplies and that we would ask 9th & 10th grade families to provide the following supplies when we return to school in January after Christmas:

3 boxes of facial tissues (Kleenex, Puffs, etc.)
5 reams of copy paper
2 containers of hand sanitizer
2 containers of disinfecting wipes (Clorox, Lysol, etc.)

Do you want to compete in college sports? Join the NCAA Eligibility Center on Wednesday, December 14 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. for a webinar for college-bound student-athletes and their families. The discussion will include review of the most recent COVID-19 automatic waiver relief. We’ll also go over the requirements you must meet to pursue your dreams of studying and competing at an NCAA Division I, II, or III school. Click here to register.

MULCH MADNESS RETURNS THIS SPRING!

We are bringing back our Mulch Madness all-school fundraiser this coming spring. Bags are 2 cubic feet of mulch (each bag covers 10-12 square feet 2 inches deep) in four colors that are $5 each. Orders will be accepted until Friday, March 10 and pickup will be Saturday, March 25. Orders of 25 or more bags can be delivered for few to addresses within 5 miles of the school. Don't need mulch? Consider purchasing bags and donating them to the school.
