Gifts from alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends provide unrestricted funding to allow JPII to tackle unforeseen challenges and seize opportunities as they arise. Every gift makes a difference and, collectively, our community can provide our young men and women with the opportunity to receive an outstanding Catholic education. Here’s how your gift will impact our outstanding students and the mission of JPII: - Support student activities in fine arts, community service, athletics, extracurricular opportunities, and spiritual formation
- Support financial aid so qualified students have the opportunity to pursue a Catholic education that may otherwise be out of reach
- Support innovation in the classroom so students and faculty can collaborate seamlessly with technology and have the opportunity for digital access through their MacBooks as a tool to learn
Thank you for considering supporting JPII. Your donation can be made in memory of or in honor of someone to pass on a legacy of Catholic education. If you have any questions about giving to JPII or would like to get more involved, please contact Director of Development Charlie Harvey at charvey@jp2highschool.com or 252-215-1224. |

Writing Contests and Literary Competitions News for January 2025 Here are some contests and competitions to keep on your radar. The North Carolina Poetry Society Student Contests are underway, and the submission deadline is on January 31st so there is time to write a poem! The Poetry Out Loud Competition will be held on February 6th at ECU. We have a couple of spaces on our team. If you have no idea what poems would be good to memorize, I can help you identify poems to memorize. The secret is finding two poems you love. If you prefer to compete in the Battle of the Books, we have room here, too. We are in the private school category, and only three schools (including us) are competing this year. If you read one of the books, that can help our team. The Poetry Out Loud & Battle of the Books clubs meet on Thursdays in Room 114. For links to the contests go to our Writing Contest Google Classroom - this is the code Esqusmh. Questions? Email Ms. Thomsen. |
