SWIMMING STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Good luck to all of our Saints swimmers who have earned the opportunity to compete at the state championships to be held this Wednesday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Women's events start at 10:30 a.m. and men's events start at 2:30 p.m. No spectators are allowed but the event will be live-streamed on Facebook. GO SAINTS!

ATTENTION FAMILIES WHO RECEIVE THE NC OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

The NC Opportunity Scholarship must be renewed each year and the priority renewal period for existing families is February 1-March 1. To renew the scholarship, you will need to visit MyPortal on the NC State Education Assistance Authority website to complete the income verification.

CONCUSSION TESTING

If you are playing a spring sport but have not yet had your concussion baseline test for this year, please plan to attend the testing session on Wednesday, February 10 immediately after school in room 105.

SOFTBALL INTEREST MEETING

If you are interested in playing softball this spring, Coach Watts will be holding an interest meeting on Tuesday after school in the PAC. Parents, the same information that will be shared with the athletes will also be sent to you following the meeting as well.

KIYA JOHNSON TO SOAR WITH THE EAGLES!

Congratulations to senior Kiya Johnson on her acceptance and commitment to attend North Carolina Central University. In addition to NCCU, Kiya received acceptances to attend Columbia College, UNC-Greensboro, and UNC-Pembroke.

TEEN LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

Juniors Max Dooley, Dillon Gregory, and Destini Hunt were selected this year to participate in the Chamber of Commerce Teen Leadership Institute which helps prepare students for constructive and responsible involvement in community affairs. This week, Teen Leadership Institute students met in very small groups to visit different non-profits in our community for overviews and tours about each organization. Students participated in community service projects and developed their understanding of giving back to the community as well as networked with local agencies to identify relationships for future connections.
