THE PARKING LOT WILL BE READY FOR THE 1ST DAY OF SCHOOL!
Mother Nature helped us out and gave us great weather over the past couple of weeks so the construction crews could do their work to complete the parking lot.
DROPOFF/PICKUP PROCEDURES
Now that the entrance to the school is immediately to the left when you turn onto Quail Ridge Road between the Academic and Athletic Campuses, we have some changes to the dropoff and pickup procedures.
Dropoff in the Morning: When you turn onto Quail Ridge Road, if traffic allows, turn left into the Academic Campus. We will have someone directing traffic so the driveway does not get blocked. We are hopeful that the line of cars dropping students off at the main entrance to the school building will not back up to the entrance to the Academic Campus. However, if that happens, the person directing traffic will direct those turning onto Quail Ridge Road to make a loop through the Athletic Campus and come back up Quail Ridge toward 14th Street to make a right into the entrance to the Academic Campus. To alleviate this from happening, please pull up as far as possible when dropping off your student. Students should be ready to exit vehicles quickly once arriving at the main entrance. After dropoff, proceed toward the exit onto 14th Street.
Pickup in the Afternoon: Those lining up to pick up students after school should do so by entering the Athletic Campus, travel through the traffic circle, and then enter the line that starts at the exit to the Athletic Campus. We will have someone at the exit to the Athletic Campus to direct traffic and let cars know when they can begin moving to the main entrance to the school building for pick up. After pickup, proceed toward the exit onto 14th Street. The gate at the Athletic Campus is closed until 2:00 p.m. so please do not arrive for pick up prior to 2:00 p.m.
Historically, dropoff and pickup takes a few days for everyone to become acclimated to the process and then everything tends to go smoothly. So please be patient as we begin the school year and remember safety is the priority!
